We honestly cannot recommend Dorset Extensions highly enough.  From start to finish, the whole experience has been fantastic. Mike took the time to explain everything clearly, including what work would be carried out and how the refurbishment would progress.  Communication was excellent throughout, and he genuinely went above and beyond to make sure our refurbishment had that real “wow factor”. What really stood out to us was that Mike is not just a builder — he has an incredible eye for design and a real vision for what can be achieved.  We were able to work closely together on the interior design, and Mike spent hours with us discussing ideas, helping us make decisions and bringing our vision to life.  The end result has exceeded our expectations. The entire team worked incredibly hard and showed a fantastic work ethic.  They arrived on time, worked consistently throughout the day and took real pride in what they were doing.  The quality of the workmanship is excellent, and the attention to detail is clear in the finished result. I’ll also be completely honest and say that, before choosing Dorset Extensions, I had seen some negative reviews and did have some reservations.  However, having now experienced their work for ourselves, none of those concerns were founded.  Our experience has been nothing but positive. Mike is transparent, does exactly what he says he is going to do, and genuinely cares about delivering a high-quality finish.  We always felt listened to and involved throughout the process. We would absolutely use Dorset Extensions again and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them to anyone considering building or refurbishment work. I used Dorset Extensions Group for a modernisation of my old Dorchester property. The works included fitting a new kitchen and bathroom, a new flat roof, and opening up a wall with the installation of a custom glass balustrade; plus a large number of smaller tasks and associated works such as new plastering and wall panels, levelling and refitting floors, skirting boards, custom doors and cabinets, electrics and plumbing. Michael orchestrated the whole project, efficiently bringing in his trusted team of labourers, carpenter, electrician, plasterer, plumber and gas safe engineer exactly when required… the house was never empty once the project started. Whilst I had a decent idea of what I wanted, I was consistently presented with new ideas (with no pressure to accept), and I’m very glad I went with several of them… the house looks fantastic! All of the team I interacted with were friendly, respectful, skilled and genuinely wanted to do great work. Messaged Mike the night before needing an old bathroom light removed and a new one fitted - his electrician was with me at 10am the next morning like Batman with a toolbox. Michael and the team recently did a complete refurb of our fireplace by removing an old brick fire surround/hearth and doing a complete restyle and not only are we thrilled with the final result but most importantly the care taken to ensure all our needs were met and worries or issues sorted as the work progressed was genuine. Price is also extremely fair. Dorset Extensions will be our go to company for any work in the future. They also helped in a separate plumbing emergency and were round within an hour to sort it.
